True. Hopefully my pup will be like my previous Yorkie. Always went outside. never had the need for pads. I got him ~4 mo old and only had a few accident. Always went to the door right away. I would think the wee pads would confuse them? Did with my Pom. Pads vs Carpet. Same to him. Especially when you have all hard flooring. I'm just using pads for the crate and pen.JMO/JME
