I need some advice, Sophie Kate had her dentals today(all went well, good results) but I am really kind of freaking out tonight - She cannot bark. When she barks it sounds like a cough. It reminds me of the dogs I have seen at the rescue where I volunteer, the ones who have been debarked.

I am so upset, I have Googled until my fingers are ready to fall off trying to find out if this is "normal" after dentals. Could this be short term from the intubation? I know to expect the coughing but to not be able to bark?

Please tell me this is normal, should I be freaking out like I am? Should I take her to the emergency Vet.

This is what I get for letting her Dad pick her up, not enough questions.
