Thank you again LadyJane for the insight on the fact an infection could cause this. I'm begining to take a sigh of relief. I was beginning to think my vet was just grasping for straws bc there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer.
After 6 different flavors of canned food, she's at least eating one now.
Little Sammy has been through so much, I'm so glad he has you to watch over him.

I'm so sorry Max went through this, poor guy! I know you must have been worried also. Thanks for letting me know bc it makes me feel better to know that it's possible to get an infection for no apparent reason! Thank you for your prayers.
