We also free feed our dogs. When we got the puppies, they also wanted the same food the other dogs ate instead of their puppy food. We tried 3 different puppy foods and finally ended up switching all the dogs to an all life stages food so they could all eat the same food. It worked out well for us. We used Nature's Variety Prairie chicken and brown rice formula during that time. Now one of the foods we use is Fromm 4-Star Nutritionals, which is also an all life stages food. But we have not used this for puppies. All our dogs are adults now (2 yrs old and older).
