As long as she is eating mostly her own puppy food, I think that should be fine for her to nibble on the big doggy food! The protein content is almost the same in your 2 formulas and the fat content is a little lower on the adult food. Puppies need higher protein and fat content. I would lean toward the adult Wellness food anyway since it has 3 animal protein sources at the top of the ingredients list (2 of them being meals which is good) over the puppy food although the baby still needs a higher fat content.
I don't think there is much you can do to keep the pup out of the adult food if your older dog needs to free feed but if your pup is healthy and growing and not having digestive issues, I don't think there's a big problem to worry about. |
