A lot of vets like to spay before the first heat cycle, it prevents many cancers. But, yours is very small, maybe talk to the vet about that, and see if waiting until she reaches the 3lb mark is safer. As long as your vet does pre bloodwork beforehand, which I knowis very important, it will help you feel better about spaying her.
