I think wavy would indicate she has a cotton coat.
She is not going to let you do a bow occasionally without a lot of trouble. It is daily training that works. If you don't want to go through that you might try these:

You only need a small amount of hair to snap the bow over. It is good for an occasional dress up day but you would need to keep her hair short around her eyes so she can see.
