On my first visit to the breeder I had my choice of the three pups and was leaning towards getting another female. Well, of course the male would not leave me alone. He was all over me while I tried to make a decision between the two females in the litter. Since the pups were still young, the breeder told me I could choose later.
The following week when I returned, I brought a tent bed & purse carrier set with me. When I set the items down in the house, Hazel completely took over. She went in the tent bed and wouldn't let any of the other pups in! She just keep looking at me almost winking and smiling ~ the breeder was completely amazed by this. She said, "I have heard of dogs choosing their owners, but this is incredible." And that is how she chose me!
