Default And Thank You!!

I found this site back in September, shortly after my husband's accident. I didn't post a lot (and still don't - just look at my number of posts!) because my thoughts were on Sam. Not to get in any lengthy, great detail, he was almost killed after the last bad cell from Hurricane Rita blew through our area in trying to remove a tree from our driveway (it was my birthday and we were trying to clear it so we could go out to eat). The doctors (we've seen 6 since the accident) all said if whatever hit him in the face had hit just a fraction of an inch higher, it would have killed him. As it was, they were surprised he survived the blow he took! After 3 surgeries (and we are looking at at least one more, possibly 2), he's doing a lot better. He's a firefighter here and the guys have been so awesome, donating their time to him so that he could continue to get paid while he was off (he had used most of his time from an earlier job related injury). Anyway, I said I wasn't going to get lengthy on that. I wanted to say thank you to you, Villette, for being who you are. There are several others I've posted with/to on occasion and this place has become my "light" during times I'm feeling down. I never told any of you this but just coming to this site the first few weeks after the accident really helped me keep my sanity. Having to take care of Sam and 2 boys (not to mention the 2 furbabies) and a full time job, at times, it seemed almost like it was more than I could stand. Although I haven't had the opportunity to get to know you or the others as well as I'd like to (I'm working on that!), I wanted to say a big thanks to you and everyone else here for sharing a part of your life and your babies with me

Have a great day!
