Did your vet do a culture on some of the spots or just diagnose it without doing and labs on it? If it is staph you really need to take this seriously and seek further treatment. A culture and sensitivity should be done to obtain the type of organism you are dealing with and the proper antibiotic needed to kill it. There are many kinds of antibiotics and the tests will show which one to use on the particular kind of staph you are dealing with. She may get a bit better on some medication but until the right one is used she will continue to have problems that could effect other parts of her body. She could also be having a problem with some sort of suppression of her immune system. |
