Once your pup has had all their shots, a great venue to take your puppy, and often times to shop; is at an outdoor show.
Here in Canada a good website to go to to find what shows are going on in your province is
www.canuckdogs.com
In the USA you can try
www.infodogs.com
You can usually gradually circle inwards to the busier areas, but one area you Should Not go is into the ring area - you will see all the exhibitors standing around with dogs to show. Sometimes there is no main aisle and the rings are pretty accessible to all, in that case keep away from all entrances to the rings. Also if your dog is barkey or misbehaving, do NOT stand right at the ringside with him. Move back 10feet or so.
You can socialize your dog with lots of folks when you shop; most vendor owners have one or more dogs themselves.
You can socialize your dog with other visitors, and sometimes even some exhibitors.
You can practice obedience/training skills there, as it is a grand spot for doggy distractions.
Anyhow just thought I'd remind our members the benefit of the show environment for training and socializing.
Razzle today did a bit better, he had more focus on me; but he broke and broke then broke again his sit/stay command. But any improvement is a welcome one
