Do you have an available corner? We have a litter box with a lid. We position it diagonally in the corner with the opening facing the wall (corner). The cat jumps on top of the litter box and then down to get in. It keeps Ginger out. I have a plant stand on one side that seems to help discourage her too. Ever since we did this, she has left it alone. Whew!
