I struggled with my cotton coated boy for a LONG time! He HATES the brush, can't blame him, he's always matted. I just get him groomed really short now, even shorter than a puppy cut sometimes and he goes every 3 months (well they both do) and thats about all I can do for him. He WILL not let me brush and I used to try to shave him myself, but he won't tolerate it any longer at all. My 7 lb 4 legged pup turns into a 90lb 18 legged beast when I try to brush him or clip him!
