My humane society does not have a waiting list and it is 30 minutes away. By the time I get there, even if I am there first the dog has a hold on it. Small dogs do not come in very often. At least it's a no kill shelter,now. I am also friends with the 3 cities around me's animal control officers and they are keeping an eye out for me too.
