I decided we should switch from Authority Lamb and Rice, we've been researching for a few months now. Just as a disclaimer, I did talk to my vet but she was more concerned about treating the itchiness right now than finding the cause of his itchiness, and after doing it her way for a month (conditioning spray which i was already using, and fish oil) and having to come home with cortisone cream and antibiotics for the bacterial infection he got from scratching, with her words "if this doesn't clear it up, i want to do a skin scrape and steroids, then put him on a long term antihistamine" I decided that we were going to do things my way and switch his food.
I wanted to try a grain free LID, but my Sir is (high functioning) autism spectrum and got overwhelmed with all the choices and logistics, so we ended up going with Fromm's grain free surf and turf. I know a lot of y'all like the beef frittata, but it's got pork in it and Jaeger doesn't do well on pork.
By the time we got done with everything, even though I tried to steer him, Sir was just ready to be done with it and bought a 4.4lb bag for $20 on amazon. Aside from buying a 30ish lb bag from Mr Chewy's to get the free shipping, does anyone know of a less expensive way to get Fromm's?
The closest retailer is in Columbia, which is a 90 minute drive from here. | the fromm grain free is an excellent choice. i know pet flow.com & wag.com sell fromm . you can check them out. the shipping is a flat rate of $4.95 that is the cheapest that i know of . |
