Oh, Sweetie, that sounds horrible. IF EVER you have a situation like that again, make sure they use an intravenous catheter and leave it in til the desired effect. When my heart Jesse was euthanized, my vet took him to the back and put the cath in and brought him back to me. We cried so hard she could hardly push the med in but she had to do it for herself. Anyhow, jesse was a 3 pounder, very ill and hard to find a vein on. But, he just stopped breathing; didn't take a deep bredth, sigh or anything!! That is how it should be. My God, I would have died if that had happened to Jesse. I hope you have or will let the vet know how you feel about the situation..
