For attending social and family events, I use my front-carrying pouch to hold Tatiana. Truthfully, I do this to keep her safe, and also, it comforts her, as she's uncomfortable around people she doesn't know. Also, I tell other people I keep her in there to watch her, so she doesn't have a potty accident in their home (this is when they ask me to put her down so there their toddler kids and dog can have access to her. Uh, I don't think so. I rather they pet her under my watchful eyes.

Yes, I'm quite the spectacle mingling at a party with dog in a front-carrying pouch. I look like a mama kangaroo.
Whenever we show up with Tatiana, I always say,"She's family," or "She's family, too." Thankfully, my husband backs me up on this.
