JosephM, if you're traveling in California, there's book called The Dog Lover's Companion to California. They give listings of pet-friendly places.
Airlines will usually let small dogs travel up in the cabin, but you have to pay an extra fee each way and your dog has to stay confined in an airline-approved carrier under the seat.
Anytime I travel, I always feel so sad about leaving Otis. Then when I'm actually on vacation, I realize that he probably would have been miserable on the airplane, weather change, etc....then I become thankful that I left him at home. I'm lucky I have great dog-sitters. |
