I cut bangs on Bentley. Hubby doesn't want a pony tail on him either (as someone else said here). I also cut the hair that grows on his nose and up into his eyes so he doesn't get an infection. He looks adorable with bangs. If you don't plan on showing him why not cut bangs! I think he would look adorable too!
