I have been wanting to do this for some time. It has been so hard here finding a training facility that was close and trained with a primary focus on positive reinforcement.
I finally found a place that met all of the qualifications and then some
They do clicker training which is exactly what I wanted!!! It is a basic obedient class. I really want to boost Taycie's self confidence. She gets nervous in social situations and I think with the right training it will help her tons! And... she is becoming quite the barker so this is also something we need to work on.
Tonight was orientation night and myself and a group of 4 others met. We did not bring our dogs tonight but went over paperwork, discussed things we all wanted to work on, and went over the next 6 week course. All the dogs in the class are very small. I specifically picked this because it was tailored to little dogs
I so happy with the trainer and I can't until next week!! Wish us luck and I can't wait to post pictures of Taycie's success!
