capt noonie is right. Both cues should have one word and one hand signal. We use Sit with one or two extended fingers (Like a child playing bang bang) and point to the floor. The cue Down (not lay down , get down etc. just Down) is the whole hand palm down the arm makes a swing down motion. To stand in place we cue Stand the visual cue is hand palm up fingers curled onto the palm (a loose fist) Three basic commands with easy to hear and see differences. Hope this helps, Teresa
