Nancy I agree that one state of disease can cause another! Here, I think the periodontal disease is just something maybe he was prone to. I think it's his genetics rather than the medication he is on for epilepsy (that med doesn't have side effects of this nature and has a low toxicity when compared with more conventional drugs). Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Teddy is doing fine, he doesn't seem to be in pain, and I'm hoping his medication works fast to clear this issue. It's creepy to look at that eye!
