I think you will see a big difference by switching to a higher quality food. Unfortunately though, you won't find the good foods in the grocery store or Walmart. As was already mentioned, stay away from foods with corn, wheat, soy, by-products, unnamed animal source ingredients, and menadione. Find a food that has a named meat or named meat meal listed as the first ingredient (such as chicken, chicken meal, etc.). When our dogs were younger we fed them Nature's Variety Prairie foods (usually the chicken meal and brown rice formula). They did very well with this food. For your puppy, be sure to use either a puppy formula or an all life stages formula food.
