When I last weighed my Yorkie Joe, he was around 11 pounds- but he was pretty round and probably weighed even more when he first came to us lol I made it a point to take him on plenty of walks, now I can see a the beginnings of a waist on him
I had my doubts when I first got him about his ancestry- working in vet clinic for several years, almost all the Yorkies I've seen have been smaller than him, from 4-8 pounds, and his coat is quite thick, almost woolly, but I've since learned that that is just one of the variations of breed. His ears, especially the right, look like they want to stand up but never had the chance- when he first came to us his ears were covered in long hair, which I immediately clipped off lol I wonder if the previous owners never clipped the hair off when he was little and they got weighted down?
