How long is "a while"? What does she do before laying down to sleep? Do you entice her with treats, toys, activities wearing the dress? Do you lavish her with praise and compliments about how gorgeous she is in her dress? Or take her out and show her off in it so others can help enhance her beauty experience with additional praise and adoration? If she stays 'sleepy' calm wearing the dress while you carry her when she's out, so what? If she likes to ride/go out, have you tried associating the 'wearing of the dress' with the 'going for a ride' reward? Only dress her WHEN you give her that reward until she starts to look forward to it, then leave her in the dress after you return. Have you tried dressing her in something smaller...say, a t-shirt or lightweight sundress? Or trying dressing her for bed in a 'gown' or jammies, and letting her get used to the feel of wearing clothes? Or dressing her for warmth when it is chilly?

Brody never wore clothes at his previous home. Mia wore them but her former mommy said she did not like to wear them. Both Brody and Mia LOVE clothes and get very excited to see the clothes come out. This is Florida, so in the summer they do not always wear garments, and when they are home alone, unless it's really chilly, I usually do not dress them...afraid they'll hang a claw or get caught on something.

You may not be out of options yet. If you really want her to dress up, you may just need to find the way she'll accept it.
