Yes be very careful of Craigslist. Nancy brought up some good points. Also, I would ask to meet in a public place if you decide to proceed. What about pictures? Did the ad have pictures? Maybe ask to see more? Don't send any money before getting the pup. I am probably the wrong person to be asking this to. I went and grabbed Mikki and didn't worry to much about anything. I did ask the owner if she had any issues I needed to be aware of and asked the vets name. But I didn't call the vet before I took her. Only to find out that she has LP and needed dew claws removed. But I wouldn't trade her for anything. I will tell you what a lot of members told me when I was trying to decide to get her or not. They said to me "follow your heart". Well I did and now Mikki is a huge part of my life. I think if you start asking a lot of questions you will see pretty quickly if they are a scam or not. I hope it works out for you. Keep us posted! |
