A friend of mine recently moved 1100 miles away with her 3 cats. They were not looking forward to the drive with the cats. They gave them Rescue Remedy both days and they did fine. One of the cats is quite paranoid but was quite relaxed during the ride. Of course the cats were all in carriers but they were no accustomed to being in the car or the travel crates.
It is a good idea when you have a young dog to take it to fun places in the car often. That way they do not associate the car with unpleasant things like going to the vet or other trips they have to make. |
