I felt like that too. Would Paris want you to be sad, or just to remember the love and good times you both shared? You'll always have that love for him in your heart... your heart will kind of make 'new love' for your next pup. Same thing when I got two, then 3 & 4. It never took away any love for my first, 2nd & 3rd, just added more love to the mix.

Hugs to you.... I missed mine for almost 2 years, was sad everyday and cried alot. Hardly ever smiled or laughed. Your next pup will not replace Paris, ever. It'll be more like adding a brother or sister for him. And it will be a place for you to put all that 'Mommie Love' your heart is still making... that's what hurts, you still have all this love and nowhere to put it. A new pup won't be another Paris, but will endear itself to you in it's own way. You just have to let them in.
