My Roxi also hates car rides. She shakes the whole time. I did just purchase a small car seat that sits on my console between the seats. At first she actually did quite well, but with each trip it gets worse. The only way to calm her down is for me to hold her...and only me. She won't let anyone else hold her. But my daughter is going off to college this fall and it's a 200 mile drive one way. I had planned on taking Roxi with me sometimes, but I can't drive 3 hours with her in my arms (it's too dangerous at 70 mph). I hope eventually she will outgrow this as she gets older (I can't give her anything to calm her down because of her MVD).
