Omg Partied out!

**PHEW** almost a relief to be back at work this week!

We've had a BUNCH of big parties at our house this year. We are the only ones we know with a pool. Plus we have room for people to crash at our house if they were there late and didn't want to drive home. Man I am partied out!

1 month ago we had a big graduation party for my husbands son. 2 weeks ago we had a big birthday party for his other son. We had a big party on the 4th of july and we had a big party, BIG party, this past Saturday for my nephew's birthday, hes turning 3!

Its soooo much work. Preparing the pool area, cleaning the house/bathrooms, sweeping, cleaning off the furniture, cooking, buying the food, hauling everything downstairs and back upstairs, people coming through my house wet (even when I try to keep the upstairs off limits, they still do it), every beach towel is taken and left wet and dirty for us to have to wash. People stay for sometimes 48 hours (mainly my bro or close friends) and I have to plaster a smile, play great hostess and cater to everyone. oohhh I used to LOVE it very much..... but now I'm TIRED of parties at our house. I just wish, FOR ONCE, that someone else would have a party that we could bring a watermelon to and just sit and relax!

Oh and the damage.... people just don't respect your things. We always have pool floats for the kids and stuff.... but by the end of the day, they are always broken and deflated. Those things are expensive. Now our towels are walking off, why do people not bring their own towels? My brother does not watch my nephews closely enough and yesterday the 3 year old broke a lamp. People feed my dogs so I end up having to put wet dogs up in our bedroom to protect them. Broken sliding screen doors.

I ask people/kids to get rides because we are not picking up or dropping off anyone. We ask that people bring their own towels, we ask that people bring their own things to drink and sometimes even a little food item (to lighten the financial and physical burden on us), we shut & lock up the upstairs best as we can .... but nothing works!

**PHEW** I think I just need a break!
