I would hope so...how old is she? I have never had a problem with any of my dogs chewing on things that didn't belong to them. If they started after something, or even my hand, I would say 'no' and replace whatever it was with an appropriate toy...they learned quickly what to chew on and what not to chew on.
I know what you all mean about the 'baby blues' though...I've been eyeballing a couple of beautiful pups lately but all I'm doing is making myself miserable.
