Be sure to get a large enough Yorkie that can hold its own & not be injured by your other dog's playing roughly with it when your back is turned or you step out of the room. New Yorkie owners sometimes don't know just how fragile the typical Yorkie can be. They also need their teeth brushed daily & yearly(if not more frequent) cleanings under anesthesia, which can cost upwards of $500.00 plus. The smaller the Yorkie, sometimes the worse the dental situation and a tooth can abscess, requiring medication and then surgery. Don't mean to be a downer but just informing you of some of the realities you could face owning a Yorkie. It is a wonderful breed but it really takes a special type of owner to have and enjoy them sometimes.
