If you can't take the puppy out during the day or can't find anyone that can help you out, you can consider having a petsitter come to the house once a day to let the puppy out and spend a few minutes with him/her. Or another option is doggie day care. They are pretty popular nowadays for working pet parents. You might check into these options, at least for a little while until the pup gets a little bit older.
