Someone on my FB page posted a temperature chart of what the temp inside a car is when it is a certain temp outside. I had copies made of this and when I see a dog left alone in a hot car, I am going to put one of these on the window of that car!! I will also do what I can to help the distressed pet.
I am so glad you took up for that poor little dog. I'm sure he was stressed out from the heat and that is why he was barking. Some people are just ignorant and don't think!
I don't know what would have happened to the dog or the owners if you had called 911, but it would have been a good wake-up call for them, for sure!
I hope the mom and the daughter will think twice next time they want to take their dog with them to the grocery store! I also hope they don't have to learn the hard way.
