I am not so sure what you want from the members of this site. If you really want help you need to think of who you are talking to.. lovers of small dogs, yorkies. To say you would "shoot" a dog for a broken leg is so wrong on so many levels it would take to long to even start.
Now.. if you want help the first thing is to forget all you ever learned about dogs. This is a new experence.. and if you take the time to adjust and learn you will receive more love from the little guy and your heart will melt. If you don't want to start over and learn I hope your girl friend will choose the little yorkie over you.. that would be my choice.
