On Tuesday I was at my brother's house with his wife and kids. We were playing out in the yard when we heard the neighbor across the street yelling. He's always yelling...at his kids, his wife, his dogs...so we thought nothing of it and just continued with what we were doing.
It turns out this guy had gotten his hand stuck in a wood chipper and was actually yelling for help. He finally managed to get free and ran to the neighbor next door to us, woke him up from a dead sleep (that guy works nights), and had him drive him to the hospital. Apparently he was pretty badly injured.
I feel sick to my stomach every time I think that we could have helped this guy if we had just gone to see what the yelling was about.
I just needed to get it out there because it's wrecking my head.
