Please research the subject on here. There are lots of threads.

My vet is opposed to "routine" neutering and feels that while there are circumstances where this major surgery is warranted it has to be in the best interests of the dog, not just to reduce pet over population.

Why are you considering neutering? I would be more than happy to help you through this and if you decide to still neuter I can also help you to make sure you use a good vet and ask the right questions.

It is never a routine surgery when it is this major and it involves anesthesia. It is painful and they are removing parts so there are risks and side effects that not all vets advised you of.

There is also a lot being written about the over vaccination of our pets and the fact that your baby has already had a bad reaction and htat your even gave the LEPTO vaccine which is a big No NO for yorkies makes me very concerned. There are alternatives to vaccines called nosodes that will rovide your baby with the necessary immunities w/o the nasty side effects.

I would consult with a homeopathic vet in both cases if you have not already done so. If you need help locating one please PM me.

I am passionate about both the issues you raised and have done a lot of research. I hope this helps.
