Maybe you could try snap on combs. I guess it depends how short you want to go....I use either a 1" or 3/4" inch snap on comb. I think you can use that on a #10. It would be cheaper than buying a new blade. And you could get a set and play around with the length you want. I personally like to start a little longer and then do more if needed. Starting a bit longer takes away the shock of, "oh my goodness, what did I just do to my dog's hair?!!?" when you are first beginning to groom.
