Well, it certainly worked for our Harry boy - different scenario though (ice and snow, collecting in balls between his toes).
It just wipes on, and sort of dries clear and non-sticky
It might be worth you reading some of the reviews on Amazon? I personally think it's excellent...Sally + Harry x
