That is exactly the problem I have had with Betty Boop's topknot. Hers got so thin that I had to wrap the band or scrunchie around it so many times, only for her to rub it back out! Soooo, I decided to cut her topknot, which made me really sad. I LOVED her topknot. It made her look very feminine and girly-girlish. I think she loves not having one. It was me that loved it. Actually, I can still put it up in one if I want to. It's just a lot shorter. I've left her body hair alone. I LOVE her long hair.
