I struggle with this question as well. I've been diligently trying to grow Charlee's topknot out because I hate trimming around her eyes, and she's pretty good about letting put it up and comb it out regularly. Buuuutttt, she loves to rub the top of her head on the carpet (she rubs her beard after eating, one side then the other....and then she practically stands on her head and rubs that up and down the carpet
) The result is that the small hairs that I'm trying to grow out are beginning to break...and although I love the look of the topknot I wonder if she's trying to tell me she would prefer her hair short????
I don't know what to do!
