I had a patient admitted last year....he had a coplete mental melt down...he had just lost his wife and buried her 2 weeks before...married something like 56-58 years....he was sitting in his recliner with his little Yorkie...the two of them was all they had left....both in mourning over the lost wife...the little dog wanted down...he put him down, and watcxhed him go to the kitchen to get some water...he did not see him come back...he put the recliner down to go check on the little dog, and he caught him under the recliner and killed him....decapitated the poor little dog...the poor man went absolutely crazy ....I dont know that he ever got over it...we had to put him on the psych ward....and I dont know where he went from there....but I will never forget that poor man...he could not get that out of his minds eye... |
