As far as giving up to soon, I may have but we tried twice in two different enviroments hoping for the best situation. Since the puppy is in a rescue it is not just a case of me giving up but the rescue has to be on board with me adopting also, they were not after the second meeting.
Thank you all for your encouragement, I need to just figure out what type of dog would work best in our family and then move forward.
A funny story, at the rescue there is a older white dog who has been there awhile- he is pretty rough around the edges missing teeth and some scars on this face. The minute we walked out of the meeting room yesterday Sophie Kate RAN up to him and gave him a big old kiss. |
Maybe Sophie Kate was trying to let you know that she HAD chosen a new sibling ~ just not the one Mommy was wanting
