My Daisy had LP surgery at age 2. She had severe Grade IV in both knees, but only one was causing her problems and lameness. She had the surgery. It's been 10 years since, and that knee has held up. Her other leg has "gone out" a couple of times but not enough to warrant surgery. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
