We just made the decision to have Layla's LP surgery- she goes in on Monday, the 9th. She has had grade 1/2 for as long as I can remember. About March-ish I started to be able to see it pop out and twice it got stuck out- which really scared her. After playing hard (which she does) she was slow to get up and has started to limp now. Layla is bow legged so this was huge in our decision making. Her tendon is no longer holding her knee in place, in fact it is always pulling it out of place. We were also worried about arthritis setting in. So all of that being said- we go in a week tomorrow to have it operated on. Layla is 6 and about 8 lbs. It took me a very long time to feel good about this decision but seeing how downhill she has gone just in the past few weeks I am very happy with the decision.
