 Toby has Luxated Patellas.
Toby was favoring his right leg this morning so I took him to a 24 hr emergency vet that said he has a stage 3 LP (right leg) stage 2LP (left leg) I have VPI's BEST coverage plan but Luxated Patella corrective surgery is one of only a few things NOT covered.I've got the money to pay out of pocket so that's O.K. but was wondering if anyone knows the average cost of this surgery per leg.The stage 2 one is not of immediate concern but If I can I may go ahead and get both fixed. I am taking him to his primary vet tomorrow for a second opinion but I'm sure the emergency vets diagnosis is correct.
