I was more concerned with Height of the large. It is 12" high but very squishy.... the Small is 10" high....which Riley would do fine in..... (He is about 8 1/2 " tall at the shoulder) but I'm not sure he would be able to stand all the way up and turn around...... Not even sure they would even ask for a demonstration for that......
Got a response back from Dog Jaunt:
The small SturdiBag is 10" tall, so your pup should fit comfortably in it. I'd go with the small, because it works for your boy (shoulder height is what counts), and because you will never have to worry about being questioned by an airline agent. I've been questioned, say, 8-9 times over the years, and I've always prevailed, but it's not good for my nerves (and indeed, the large is officially too large for most airlines). Have a wonderful time! Please send pics!
