I can tell you that most of the plastic toys that are sold as chew toys dogs just do not like. Dogs like meat. They are naturally attracted to it. Your dog needs to chew but you have not given her the right substance to get her away from the rug. Some rugs (especially throw rugs) have a backing on them that attracts dogs and cats to them. Some animals will pee on them while some dogs will chew them. Help your dog out and either get her real raw bones (yuck) or bully sticks.
I was afraid my dog was going to kill herself because she kept sneaking away and stealing things to chew on that were very dangerous for her. Besides the destruction of items in the house she could very well get a blockage in her digestive system by chewing these things. |
