I am no where near UC Davis, it is about 500 miles away from us. I cannot go there with both girls and my dad. It is way too much for me to handle alone, and my dad not only has a serious enough heart condition that his doctor would never let him travel that far by plane or car, but he has dementia as well, and I am the only caregiver. He just had a pacemaker inserted and I am supposed to manage all his health and meds. This would be overwhelming and impossible for me at this time.
I am told that there are many UC Davis Vets at VSH and they even have a campus at VSH. They are associated with each other. I do feel good about VSH, they are considered a premier facility in southern California. And Davis is closely affiliated with VSH. I will have to talk with Dr. Stevenson to find out how many AAI surgeries she has done, and how many successful outcomes. And what were the reasons for the unsuccessful outcomes. Until then, we are just waiting!!!! |
