Mine are pretty good at staying out of our way, now. THey used to get underfoot a bit when they were younger. I think them getting nudged with a foot a time or two (NOT kicked, just like a shove) had something to do with their being more careful now. I threw my back out a couple of times when they were little, trying not to fall or step on them
